Become an ActionCOACH

Training and support

Four weeks of intensive training to start, and then support for as long as you hold the licence. The second part is the one that matters.

Initial training

Four weeks, intensive, and you will be coaching live before the end of it. The assumption is not that you arrive knowing how to coach — it is that you arrive able to learn quickly.

The training covers three distinct things, and most new partners find the second and third harder than the first.

  1. The methodologyThe 6 Steps in full, the diagnostics, the tools behind each stage, and how to read a business quickly from its numbers and its people.
  2. The craft of coachingHow to run a session, how to hold someone to a commitment without damaging the relationship, and how to tell the difference between a client who is stuck and a client who is avoiding.
  3. The business of coachingMarketing in your territory, the sales conversation, pricing, and how to fill a diary. This is the part that decides your first year.

Your first ninety days

The riskiest stretch, so it is the most heavily supported.

  • A weekly call with your own coach — you get coached before you coach
  • Launch plan for your territory, built with you rather than handed to you
  • Shadowing working coaches on live client sessions
  • A named person to call when a client throws something you have not seen

Ongoing training

This does not stop after induction, and holding the licence means staying current.

  • Regular training events, Irish and international
  • New tools and frameworks as they are released globally
  • Advanced tracks — group coaching, executive work, specialist sectors
  • Peer learning across the Irish coach group

The support around you

The single most useful thing about a franchise, and the hardest to describe on a web page, is that your problem is almost never new.

Whatever is happening in your business this month — a client who will not implement, a marketing channel that stopped working, a pricing conversation you are dreading — someone in the network has already had it and will tell you what they did. That is worth more than any manual.

Running your own business is lonely. Running your own business inside a network of 1,500 people doing the same thing is not.

  • The Irish coach group — seven coaches who meet, share and refer
  • Paul Fagan directly, as Master Licensee
  • The global ActionCOACH network across more than 80 countries
  • Shared resources, case studies and client materials

Marketing support

You get the brand, the assets and the systems. You still have to do the marketing — nobody will do it for you, and any franchise that claims otherwise is misleading you.

  • National brand presence and a profile on this site
  • Campaign templates, landing pages and email sequences
  • Workshop and seminar formats you can run in your territory from day one
  • Lead management through the shared CRM
  • Guidance on local spend, and what actually converts in the Irish market
